Leadership

Oliver Jones – Pastor

Oliver is a Spokane native, graduating from North Central High School (’95) and Eastern Washington University (’99), before taking off to serve in the United States Navy as a Supply Officer until 2004.  While attached to the USS ANTIETAM (CG-54) in San Diego, California, Oliver met and married Angela (’02), before returning home to Spokane.  All 4 Jones children, Ty, Quin, Finne and Ruby, were born in Spokane in the years that Oliver owned and operated his printing company, MOJO Reprographics (2005-2014).  Having faithfully served in the local church in Spokane during those years, Oliver followed the call the ministry, relocating his family to Los Angeles, California for ministry training at The Master’s Seminary (’14).  After graduating from TMS in 3 years, Oliver was called into full-time pastoral ministry in Arroyo Grande, California, at Berean Bible Church, where he served for 3 years (2017-2020), before being called home to Spokane to plant a church during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Oliver has been pastoring Community Bible Church since its inception in 2020.  Oliver is a hockey player, who likes volleyball, pickleball, boating and playing cards, and is most approachable when he is drinking tea.

Garret Reynolds – Pastor

Garret was raised in southeast Missouri, where he falsely believed he was a Christian because he regularly attended church. It was in 2017, while attending Southeast Missouri State University, where Garret played collegiate baseball and graduated with a nursing degree, that the Lord opened his eyes to the sinfulness of his own sin and his desperate need for the Savior, the Lord Jesus. In 2020, in obedience to the call to pursue full-time ministry, Garret pursued studies at the Master’s Seminary-Dallas distance location at Countryside Bible Church in Southlake, TX. While at Countryside, Garret completed a pastoral internship through XL ministries and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 2023. In March of 2024, Garret and his family relocated to Spokane to become the Associate Pastor at CBC. Garret helps oversee the children’s ministry, youth ministry, women’s ministry, men’s ministry, and membership at CBC. Garret is married to his lovely wife Haylee, and they have two daughters: Oaklee (3) and Kori (1), and they are joyfully expecting their third child.

Dar Grewe – Elder

Dar helped with the establishment of Community Bible Church as a Grace Advance church plant in 2019. He now serves as a lay elder at CBC and initially oversaw the Children’s Ministry. Currently he is serving as elder over Community Groups. Formerly, Dar ministered as a lay elder at Faith Bible Church for 20 years and was a men’s teaching leader for ten years with Bible Study Fellowship. Dar was redeemed by Christ in 1979 and has always maintained a love for studying God’s Word. Attending Shepherds Conference at Grace Community Church for the past 15 years has been a highlight for him. Dar is a
graduate of Washington State University and the University of Washington School of Law. He is a practicing attorney in the states of Washington and Idaho and works from his Spokane office. Dar and his wife Vickie have been married for 51 years. They have four married sons and loving daughters-in-law, all of whom serve and love the Lord. God has graciously gifted Dar and Vickie with 14 beautiful grandchildren. Dar’s favorite verse on which to meditate is, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
